FATAL FIGHT.
Pugilism at Auckland. (By Telegraph,—Press Association,) Auckland, Monday. Richard Forgio, a respectably connected young man, aged twenty-one, died at his parents residence at Parnell, from injuries in a recent glove fight at the Zealandia rink, with John Nicholson a professional boxer. The fight lasted thirty-five rounds, Forgie was very badly knocked about the head, He won. the match on a foul, but the stake-holder temporarily retained the stakes. It is believed deceased died of injuries to his brain, Nicholson was arrested this morning, and brought befere the police magistrate, charged with manslaughter. He has been remanded for a ween on his own personal seourity of £IOO and two sun-ties of £SO each. An inquest on Forgie takes place to-morrow,
