EKETAHUNA ROAD BOARD.
Special Ming,
A special meeting of the Eketahuna Road Board ma held at the Board's office on Saturday last, to consider the question of loans. There were present—Messrs T. Parsons, (Chairman), Anderson, Dowtett, Neilson, T, Bayliss, and W. Matheson.
Mr Domett's application on behalf of the Wellington 8,8, No 1, for a loan of £2OOO was refused,
An application from settlers in the Stirling 8.5., to have their names ontered on the rate roll was granted. Mr Downett protestod against the application on the ground that Ihej were not bona fide ownerß of the sections.
It was resolved that if a majority of settlers residing in the Wellington 8,8. No 1 Blook, and Stirling B.S,
sign petitions in favour of loans for •oad formation being raised, a poll will be taken,
