STIRLING S.S. ASSOCIATION.

Meeting of Settlers. (lirom Our Own Correspondent.) A meeting of the Stirling S.S, Asso« elation was held on Wednesday, the objeoi beiug to discuss tho best route for a road through the blocks. Mr Parsons, who was In the chair, mentioned that it was a meeting of tha associations to settle np the surrounding settlements. . MrNordel said that this association was willing to pay half the cost of a road from the Bull Tail Crossing. Mr Bayliss, Mr Neilson, and himself were asked to form a basis of the area rateable. They came to the conclusion that the basis wonld be: 5.8.8, £1,000; Parkville, £900; Wellington No. 1, £IOO. Tie Chairman then returned to the ohair. Mr Smith said that Mr Doweott came in to opaet the meeting. The proposal of Mr Timmins, was then seconded by Mr S.
