Mr F. Hi Wood reports of (ho atook salo held by him at hisTaratahi yarda yes'erJayas follows:- The yards were well-filled with stock, both sheep nnd oattlo, and tbero wasalarge attendance of buyers, In sheep, a noticeable feature was the absence of old culled ewes, and weedy culled lambs, winch have been coming forward pretty freely lately. Entries of cattle wero confined principally to young stock, including some really good two-year-old steers. As a whole, the ohm of stock was good, and a credit to any yards. Sheep buyers are still very cautions, and (he bidding was not spirited; although most entries woie sold cither under the hammer or privately afterwards. The bidding for cattle w»B fairly brisk. Pn'cos for both sheep and cuttle ruled at about last sale rates.
