Auckland, March 22 The racehorse St, Hippo was brought back to Auckland by the steamer Miowera, which arrived this morning. The news that the horse had hopelessly broken do\vn is denied. He has Btrained a tendon, but it is hoped that with a rest bo will recover. But for this accident he is in great health. Tho brood maro Jadestono, by Sword Dance—Onyx, purchased by Mr Nathan at the 8t Albans sale, was also brought to Auckland by the Miowera, A yearling colt by Newtninßter—Forest Queen, bought for Mr G, G, Stead, is also on board the steamer.
