MASTERTON PERMANENT INVESTMENT AND BUILDING SOCIETY.
A special meeting of the above Society was held in the Temperance Hall last evening, Mr J. C. Boddington (Chairman of Directors) presided, The attendance of members was by. no means numerous. The Chairman said that at the last annualmeeting an intimation had bean given of the intention of the Direc r tors to amend their rules, I|;badj>een jjepided to prepare a new set of rules I instead of altering the old ones, and P a copy of the new ones bad peep sept to every shareholder they had dp|ib'(r less made themselves familiar with, them, The chief alterations embodied in them consisted in provision for three classes of shares, a betterarrangement for dividing profits) 74 new tables of rates. The rules as now! presented were in a more compact and intelligible form and were alio provided with a convenient index, They had been carefully prepared by their manager, Mr Keith, and considered by the Direotorß. They were ako approved by their solicitor (Mr Gawith). He concluded by moving that the old rules be cancelled and the new ones be adopted and'take effect from May Ist if-the'registration were completed by that date, .' ''"' " • ', The Rev v W. E.
