SALE OF LANDS.
• Sir—With respect to tho land about to bo offered by tho Government you are laboring under a misinkc. The greater part of it is the unseleoted iwlanceof blocks that were open undor the Land Act of 1885, and, as that ceased to bo operative on Januaiy 7ili, 1893, they are now reoffered under tho Land Act, 1892. The Pukotoi blocks have been open for selection for two years or moro and the Wainnioru sections for a much longer period to my certain knowledge. Tho balance consists apparently of a few forfeited sections of seeminsly inferior quality. As to advertising anybody who visits a post office or a railway station will see plana and oan obtain information. The. land is therefore better advertised now than last year,'when it was open under the old Act, • Intending Selector, [Tho department has admitted the error by postponing the sale of the Omabino Block, It is too late to defend a crimiual when he bat pleaded guilty.—En, \V,D,T, V
