Dunedin, March 14, Some splendid steaming was dono by both the Miowera and Maiaroaon their recent voyage, Tho Miowera Toft too Bluff at 1.30 p.m. on auraday, and procaedod to Melbourne direct, She arrived at Melbourne Heads at 9 o'clock on Sunday night, her passage having occupied 78 hours 10 minutes; being, after allowing for the difference of time, equivalent to an average speed of 16*8 knots per hour.j an excellent performance, TheMararoa's record, however, is; even better. She left the Bluff at 5.5. p.m. on the Thursday, proceeding direct to the Sounds. She loft; Milford Sounds at fl a.m, on Friday, and arrived atMolbourne Headaat 8.20 a.m. on Monday, her average! speed on tho passage from tho Bounds being J6'6 knots per hour,
