FUNERAL OF THE LATE MR Wm. SKEET.

(From Cur Own Correspondent), The remains of the late Mr Sheet, who died suddenly at Greytown lost Friday night, were interred at the Greytown Cemetery yeslerdey afternoon. The cortege" was a very lengthy one, considering that there was a heavy rain falling all throughout tho afternoon.

The procession was headed by tbo Greytown Oddfellows (Mr Sheet being a honorary member), followed by members of the Masonio body (of which deceased was a P.M.) from Masterton, Carterton, Feafcherston and Greytown, Following the hearse was a large number of people from all parts of the district, some on foot, others in vohicles or ou horseback, Tho remains' wero first taken to St, Luke's Church, and thence to the Cemetery, The coffin was heaped up with floral offerings, sent by friends from all over the Valley, and at this season of the year it- is astonishing how so many white flowers can be gathered. The Episcopalian service was'conduced by the Kev, T, B, Mac Lean, after which the Masonic service was impressively read by Bro. F. H.
