FATAL ACCIDENT TO A BOY.

Auckland, Wednesday, A inostdistrcssiog accidont occurred at tlio Auckland Rollor Mills Into Inst evening to a boy named Howe, nine years of ago, by which be may lose his life. Tlio boy took bis uncle's tea to tlio mill, and was afterwards conducted out of tlio building while returned to work. The lad must have re-entered the building, wbioli was only lit by ono lamp, and made for tlio chain tackle, with the object of having a awing, but overbalanced himself. . In trying to recover himself, he must have caught tho rope that puts tlio tackle in gear, and been hoisted up through two floors, and when reaching tlio top must have swung over the drum, his head coming in contact with tho heavy crossbeam, afterwards being wound closo against tho drum, where he revolved with it till the mill stopped at eight o'clock, when it was closed for the morning lie was found downwards from tho drum, with the chain around tho lower portion, Tho boy was at first unconscious, but afterwards Bpoko, mid was removed to the hospital, The doctors think that if tlio circulation of tho legs can be restored ho may recover, Latkh. The boy Rowo lias sinco died.
