TARATAHI-CARTERTON ROAD BOARD.
Oidinanj Meeting. The ordinary monthly meeting of tho above Board was held on Sntur day last, there beinu presont: Messrs H. E. Bunny (Chairman), E. Morgan, J. Rayner, E. W. Dorset, W. B. Mktijjlm. Miller, H. Braithwaile, Jus.wSrens, and G. W. Deller. Tho minutes of tho previous meeting were read and confirmed, The Treasurer reported the Bink overdraft to he £lOOl 0s 7d. Bates outstanding, £OO 8s sd. Correspondence was received from Mr J. Swan re metalling some portions of Anderson's line. Resolved that fresh lenders be called for the supply of timber for the Board's use for tlio term of two years, Ihe tenders to specify for totura and black biveh 'imber. From MrSkoyrotliuriUillcalionof arrangement mndo in 1889 in respect to purchasing sotuo land for widening road.—Resolved that tho request be acceded to. From Mr W. F. Mason to cutting fcd* drain to tako o(I surface water,—Left in the hands of the Warden, From settlers at Wuihakeke re somo repairs to road leading from Waihakeko lo Woodlands-Left in the hands of iho Warden. It was decided that Mr Snell's request that the approaches to the new bridgo at Kokatau be metalled be acceded to. Resolved that Mr Morgan be empowered to get the work on Hinau Gully road done by day labour, the cost not to exceed £2O. Tenders for contracts No. tl and 4 East Coast Road, were accepted as follows : P. Carr'e at £ 1128; Fencing Waimiiorn, Miller Bros, at los Cd per chain; metalling Waihakeke road, McGuinness at 19a fid p«- chain, Some accounts were passed fot payment and the meeting adjourned,
