WELLINGTON SHOOTING AFFRAY.
[By Telegraph,-Press Association]. Wellington, Tuesday, James Graitige, charged with shooting Tbeophilus George in the shoulder, was brought before the E.M, Court. Tbe prisoner bad been looked on as prosecutor's stepson, but in the evidence George said he had been living with Mrs|Graingo as man and wife eighteen years, According to his statement he had quarrelled with her and was smashing the house with an axo which ho hold in an attitude threatening Mrs Graingo, when prisoner tired the revolver and hit him in the shoulder, He afterwards fired again, missing prosecutor. There had been a Btrugglo before, in whioh he got a rib broken. The wound was not dangerous, but kept prosecutor in tho Hospital for three weoks.
