FATAL ACCIDENT AT LOWER VALLEY.

Greyiown, Friday, A sad fatal aocident occurred at Pahaoa, Lower Valley, on vVediesday last, Mr Donald MoLaron, Ben., Bheepfarmor, was riding, when bis horse fell, throwing the rider on to a manukau stiimp and piercing the abdomen. Dr Bey was immediately sent for, but he and Dr Smith both being absent, Dr ,Johnston, of Carterton, journeyed to the scene of the accident, arriving just in time to seethe sufferer breath his last. Tho; accident was of such a nature, that had medical aid been available on the spot, Mr McLaren's life oould not have been saved. He was well known and highly esteemed throughout s(jj
Wairarapa, being one of its oldest eettlers, and his decease will be deeply regretted by all with whom bo was acquainted, He leaves several brothers in tbe distriot, and four children to mourn their loss.
