North Wairarapa Benevolent Society.

Ordinary Meeting. Tho ordinary monthly meeting of tho trustees of the North Wairarapa Benevolent Society was held on Thursday last, Present—Messrs R, M. Galloway (chairman), E. Feist, E, D. Dagg, and W. Perry. The minutes of tho previous meeting were read and confirmed, The Treasurer roportcd a credit balance of £BS [ls W, The payment sheet was presented, and the amount passod for payment totalled £27. On the motion of Mr Foist, seconded by Mr Dagg, it was resolved that tho estimated account for expenditure during the year furnished to tho United District Board, be £SOO. An application for relief from an old man from Tenui was ordered to referred to tho polico to report upon, The chairmnn and Secretary were authorised to deal with the matter temporarily.

A vote of thanks was tendered to Mr G. S, W. Dalrymple for Lis donation of £1 log to the Society, The regular cases of relief wore ordered to be continued the same us last month, with the exception of Mrs Helen Jackson, wbo was reduced from 10s to 7a Gd per week, In iho casual cases dealt with by tbo Secretary during tbe month, -the action of the Chairman and Secretary was confirmed.

The Secretary reported that one woman previously receiving relief bad called and thanked the Trustees for the assistance granted, and as sho had been again married, no further assistance would be required,
