FEATHERSTON SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
The usual monthly meeting of the Fentherston School Committee was held last Thursday night, there being present Messrs J, G. Cox (Chairman), C. Cundy, W. llodder, jnr., W. Toogood and M. B, Tail,
The Head Master reported that there were 120 children presont on the opening of tho school, but the attendance had increased to 180, and that there were 230 names on the register, the school was working sati>factorily, and Mr Williamson, tho new assistant, was very popular, Accounts amounting to £3 7s were passed for payment. A lotter was received from the Headmaster, stating that Miss M. Fellingham, who was desirous of bocoming & pupil teacher, was willing to teach in the school without remuneration till a vacancy should occur, It was decided to thai permission bo given, A letter was read from the Education Board re the election of members of the Board, Ab the school yard netds gravelling Mr Hodder offered the use of a borec and cart and also the metal if the Committee obtained, a man to do the work, It was decided that some repairs in connection with the tanks and water drains bo left in the hands of the chairman, Mr T»it was appointed visitor for tho month,
