WANGANUI RAM FAIR.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association,) Wanganui, February 8, Messrs Freeman H. Jackson and Co.'s annual ram fair began to-day, and was largely attended by buyers from all along the coast. Lincoln studs were keenly compe'el for, J. B, Sutton's (Southland) topping tho market with a 4-tooth, 66 guineas. His average for 10 rams was £35 15s. Fred Sutton's (Southland) Id averaged £24 14s 2d, the highest being 38 guinons, Jamts Holmes' (Oamaru) eight rams averaged £l7 18s, the highest fetching 25 J guineas. A good flock of Lincoln* sold very woll, 81 penned by W. Wilson (Elslea), averaging £9 lis. Medium Lincolns wore fully 10s 6d to 21s lower than last year. C. W. Reid's (Oamaru) seven Romneyu, the only ones in the market, averaged £5 15s 3d, Romney lambs fetched 2 guineas,
