Mb Newman Anderson, the Government Butter Inspector, called at our office on Saturday last. Ho is about to resign hia position in the Department of Agrioulture, at Wellington, in order to accept the management of the Addington factory, which may be regarded be the premier establishment of its class in this Colony. He informs U9 that cadats will bo trained at Addington, and if some enterprising farmers in this neighbourhood took advantage of an opening of this kind for their sons, they would derive a benefit from it, We were pleased to learn from Mr Newman Anderson that Maeterton was suitable for the establishment of a central butter factory, to which cream could he sent from various stations along the railway line as well as from suburban farms, Possibly the Wairarapa Farmers Cooperative Association might see its way to give practical effect to this idea; or if this Association did not contemplate establishing Buck an undertaking, the other storekeepers in the town might combine to carry ono out. Endorsed by an expert like Mr Newman Anderson, such a project would have a fair chance of success, and would undoubtedly prove beneficial to both town and country,
