FIRE AT AUCKLAND.

Auckland, February 4. Two houses m Union Street, one occupied by Captain Scott, of the steamer Coiomandel, and the other by a man named McConnell, were burned this afternoon with their contents. St Thomas' Anglican Church, adjoining was somowhat damaged, the! roof being injured. The two houses insured, one for £2OO in the Imperial] Office, and the other for 180 in the South British Office. The furniture is not insured, St, Thomas' Church is insured in the Imperial Office fur 6500. A house owned by a man named Townloy was partly damaged, It is protected by a policy for £IOO in tho Royal Office _ ,——■— .in U 1
