CORRESPONDENCE.

fTOIIIEEDITORffAIMK'ADAILYTIMCS.I Bin, —Your correspondent is in error ill reporting Rev, J. Dukes having "commented" on tho anniversary meeting of the Wesleyon Church, " on tho falling off in the Church attendance and finances." This would lead an outsider to suppose tho Church was going down, which is not a fact. What Mr Dukes did comment od was that the growth and progress of the Church was not satisfactory considering the growth of the district. He said the reason might easily bo found in the existonco of four great drink shops in EkctahyMujjhick w there by the will of tho settlers. Thanking yon in anticipation for inserting ibis correction,—lam, etc, Vf. Bavliss. Eketahuna, 2nd Feb. 1893.
