MASTERTON RAM FAIR.
The second day's solo of the Masterton A. and P. Association's Fair wns held ia Messrs Lowes unci lorns' yards yesterday, Mr Lowes again acting as auctioneer. There were about 100 extra rams yarded, making a little over 500 in all, a large majority being Eomneys, the balance English and Border Leicester, with a few Downs and C'otswolds. For all good Stock the bidding was brisk with an nverago advance of 2ga over last year, prioes ranging from 4f to 9|gs, others running from 2| to 4jgs; Leicester 6 to Gigs; |||J;WhDownß2to'lgb. Some aged I'MHEomneys brought from 4 to Ggs. 'jrhestife at certain stages dragged somewhat,which caused the auctioneer to pass a good number of pons, but a very largo business was done privately at prices as quoted above On account of MrE.
