Qcts Qomnjttee Meeting. The -WtMi Borough Council Gaß Committeermot last night, tin re being present Crß Feist |Chsirman,) Dixon, W. Pony and Yates. The Gas Manager's rofort was received, recommending the erection of a shed at the end of the retort house for storing coal and advising the oarly purohaso of the winter Biipply of con), The Committee recommended that tho new holder be filled with water as early as possible, The Town Clerk was instructed to obtain an estimate for about 200 tons of coal, and tho Gas Manager to find out the cost of tho erection of the shed proposed by him, A letter from Mr B, P. Perry was received asking to be allowed to use the vacant piece of ground between the Gaa Works and his houso, oflering to repair the fence if permitted to use \ tho ground for six months free of h| rent.—The consideration of tho mat- ' te. was deferred, as the land may be required for the munager's house, The Committee decided to recommend tho Council to purehaao a dozen wet meters. An account from T, F, Brenchley for lime was recommended for payment.
