By Telegraph, (From Our Own Correspondent.) Eketahona, Saturday, A nan named Donald, with a number of aliases, who Icvaniedfrom here with a suit of clotlips given him to make, has been arrested in Hawera and remanded, Ho will bo brought np at tho Police Court here on Monday.
Mr Alfred Foden, who so succn fully captained the footballers in tl matches Inst season is leaving district, and last night was prese \ by the mombers of tho Club with a very scarfpin. The prcscn<9a&t]flnado at Anderson's hotel, by Mr YoOeden, who paid a high compliment to Mr Foden for ihe services he had rendered. Mr Foden suitably replied,after which his health was drunk inbutnpers.
