A somewhat curious incident, and one which perhaps will prove interesting to medical men, has just occurred In Liverpool. It appeirs that thirteen years ago Pohco-oonstablo George Bookless, who was superannuated some time ago, put a sixpence into his mouth, and accidentally Bwallowed it On Thursday afternoon, together with a fellow-constable who is at present lodging nith him, he was sitting at his dinner, and whiht eating felt a choking sensation in the lower part of his throat. He immediately began to cough and spit blood, and eventually a hard metallio substance was ejected from his mouth, On examination it proved to be the aixpence which had found so uncommon a hidingplace thirteen years before, and whioh had during nil that time made its homo in Bookless' throat without his know*' ledce.
