The shooting to-day opened with the Grand Aggregate Match, at 500, GOO, and 700 yds; sevon shots at each distance; for the hundred highest aggregate scorers. The Championship Match will be taken to-morrow afternoon,
Trenthaji, Tuesday. A start was made this morning at 10 o'clock with tho Grand Aggregate Match, 500, GOO, and 700 yards, 7 shots, counting for the belt and the List Try Match, 10 shots at 500 yds. 78 entered for the former and G5 for the latter. A light wind is blowing frequent heavy showers are falling. At tho 500 yds range in the Grand Aggregate Match, .Richardson, of Duuedin made tho possible 35 ; Eait (Wellington) 31; Mooseman (Wanganui), McCarthy (Dunedin) each 38; Humphries, who was leading for belt, oulygoton2B, while Arthur Ballingcr, of Wellington,whowassecondinade 82 and heads the aggregate with 428. Humphries is second with 426, McCarthy with 83 gained n point on Ballingcr and is third with 419. Henderson, of Auckland, who was fourth made only ?7 and full away to seventh position. Howe, ot Wellington, put on 32 and holds fourth place with 417, being two points ahead of Doughty, of Auckland, who made 81, kruse is sixth with 410.
