CRICKET NOTES.
The Greytowu second eleven played Carterton last Saturday on the latter foam's pitch, tlio rantoh rosuldng in an easy win for tie visitors by 126 runs on tho first innings. None of tlio home team readied double figures, but for Qreytown the following doubles wore secured: W. A. Tate 33, Geo. Jackson 25, Fd. Hawko 20, J. Jaokson 10 (not out), F. Dollas 16, J?k. Hawko 14, and J. Eccleton 10, For tbo visitors, Fred Hawke and G. Jaokson bowled woll, as was evinced by Carterton only securing 88 runa for tho innings. Tho chief bowling honors for the local team were taken by W. Gallon, J. Kiddie and Renall. In tho second innings Carterton bad made 71 runs for the losaof 9 wickets, when time was called, The fullowing wero the scores during the first innings. Cabtebton.
