Important Suggestions.

Wellington, Wednesday. At the meeting of the Educational Institute to day, tho Committee recommend inter alia the establishment of a Court of Appel for teachers; uniformity in school books in the colony; that a return be msde to the system of payment on working attendance instead of the strict attendance, and that compulsory clauses of the Education Act be placed in the hands of police iu districts where no truant officer is appointed, A motion was also passed, suggesting that an annual conference of Inspectors bo held. The report of the Executive of the Institute, which was read, strongly urged that further steps be taken in the case of Inspector Harrison, of Auckland.
