Judgment, with costs. Sumo v, Mrs Raynor.-Claim, £123, Judgment, with costs, Same v. McGuire. - Claim, £1 2s 6d for advertising. In this case 25s was paid on account, judgment being given for the balance, with costs, Same v. Goorgo Dixon,—Claim, £2 3s Gd, balaneo of advertising account, Judgment, with costs. Williams TO&Evernden-Claim, £ol9slod. The sum of £5 7s 6d had been paid into Court, which plaintiff would not accept in settlement, Mr Pownall appeared for plaintiff, and Mr Skipper for defendant. Richard Williams gave evidence on oath that tho time-book produced was a correct statement of the time made by him, Edgar George Williams, late partfirm of Evernden and Willi* and Co., gave evidence to tho effect that his father had issued a summons against the firm after the partnership was/lissolved. Mr Evernden had taken overall liabilities. Witness' duties woro to employ and look after the bush hands, ilr R. Ererodeii was financial manager. The fire at the mill took place on the 20th. Hud placed tho plaintiff in charge of the timber yard to see that no timber was removed in his absence. Tin's closed the caso for (lie plaintiff. Richard Evernden, called for tho defence, recollected the plaintiff being at tho m ; !l on the 21st of December, but did not know what authority Mr Williams had to put plaintiff there, After hearing furthir evidence, His Worship gave judgmont for the plaintiff for the amount claimed with the exception of one halt day's wage, with Court costß IDs, witness' expenses 10s and counsel's fee 21s.
