A gentleman named E, 0. Thorn" son, sen of the manager of the Union Bank in Auckland, is missing, He left Auckland on December the first to purchase land in this district, and although it is Said he was seen landing from the steamer nothing has since been seen of him, His not communis eating with friends in Auokland first caused tbe alarm.
