MASTEBTON.-WEDNESDAY (Before Colonel Eoberts,E,M.) DRUNKENNESS. Jahn Neill, charged with drunken* ness, pleaded guilty. Sergeant M'Ardle pointed out to the Bench that the accused was in receipt of charitable aid, His Worship considered it a extraordinary thing that a man in receipt of charitable relief Bkould be able to get drunk. However, as it was his first offence he would bo convicted and discharged. William Thompson, charged with drunkenness, admitted the offence, As this was his third appearance within six months a fine of 10s and 2s costs was inflicted, or in default 48 hours, alleged larceny, Arthur Poukn wasoharged by the polico with the larceny of the sum of LI 10s from William Burslem, at the Empire Hotel, Mastertoa. Pou'sen pleaded not guilty and asted fi>r W adjournment to enable
