WAIRARAPA FARMERS' COOPERATIVE ASSOCIATION, LIMITED.
A meeting of tho Directors of tho Wairarapa Farmers' Co-operative Association, Limited, was held at their office at Masterton on the 20th inst, All the Directors were present, and several very important subjects came up for discussion. ' The bußinessofth'e Association was carefully gone into, and showed a very marked increase in all its branches for tlio four months, averaging fully 20 per cent, compared with the same period in the previous year, •Several applications from shareholders requesting tho Association to open branchca wore fully disoussed, and held over for further consideration.
Borne applications for loans from shareholders were granted subject to tho securities beiogapproved of by tho Manager.
WThe opening of tho hotter and cßseae factories and other industries were fully discussed, and it was resolved to siart the same as' early as possible during next season, A largo number of new applicants (81 for 210 shares) for Bhares were received and as they were from a desirable' class .'of settler it was resolved to allot the full number applied for. After somo discussion, it was resolved to .keep the share list open until 31st January, 1893,
It was mentioned that the new butter factory at Kopuaranga should have been opened for receiving milk in tho early part of this month but that delay bail been caused by not
having portions,of the plant ready whiohwns given to be made looally. 48 the whole of the plant is to be coraploted this week, the factory will commence work before the Now Year. This concluded tho business and tbe meeting adjourned.
