CRICKET.
A match was played at Greytown Jat Saturday afternoon between the m and the 2nd elevens of that township, resulting in a win for the latter by 5 runs on the first innings, It must be mentioned that the 2nd had the first's best bowler, E. Udy, In the 2nd innings the Ist oleven made more runs securing 52 for the loss of 4 wickets, while the 2nd had only 15 for the snuie number. The following are the Bcores of tho first innings ;- Ist eleven, Oicolh ° HJlawke 8 H.Udy ° J.Judd 1 W, J, Knoll 7 A, Udy 1 T.J. Eowso 0 A. L. Webster 1 W.A.Tate 0 T.Hawko 0 Extras '•■• 6 Total 19 2nd eleven. G, Jnckson 3 4. Eooleton ... 0 dHawke 7 C, Beard 2 R. Judd 1 E.Udy 2 Pk Huwko 1 J. Jackson 0 J. Lackland 3 J, Hawke 0 W.Brunton 2 Geo. Terry 1 Extras 2 Total 24 For the first eleven in the second A. Udy (not out) secured 17 runs, and W. J. Knell 15 (not out).
