Alleged Libel by the Prohibitionist.

Cußiaiouußoii, Monday. . The aotion for libol by H, S, Drummond againßt the Roy. L. M, Isitt, editor, and T. E, Frasnr, printer of Tho Prohibitionist, resulted in judgmont for £2 and costs against • Isitt, and of ouo farthing without costs against Frascr, The article con. • taming the alleged libel reflected w strongly on Drumrrond on account of P it is stated, his having promised a 1 ; woman that he would not supply drink to her husband,. who was ' shortly afterwards Boen leaving bis hotel with a bottle of whisky. The article said that the wife taxed Drummond with supplying tho liquor, and he said it must have been supplied by tho housekeeper or some, one else. The evidence showed that the woman had novor. spoken to Drummond at all, but had mistaken his barman for him.
