Meeting of Mr. Beetham's Supporters.

Suggested Formation ofaPoliticai Association in Mas- ■ terton.

A meeting of Mr Gcorgo Beetham's late Kleolion Committre, was hold in the Central Chambors Queen-street, on Saturday afternoon last. Wo are informed that about thirty gentlemen were piesent, Mr D. McGregor occupying the chair. Mr George Beettium definitely dcoling to stand again, it waß decided to appoint a committee including Mrssra E. Feist, George Heron, J, McGregor and others to endeavour to Beleot a Biiitabln oandidato to represent the Masterton oonßtituonoy, and tn report at tho next meeting to be held oil January 7th. A pretty reliable informant tells ua that the address made by Mr Gi-orgo Beetham was received with considerable enthusiasm, and that three uommitiees were appointed, The first is to submit the name of a candidate in the event of Mr Beßtham definitely deoidiiig not to Btond. The seoohd was appointed for oanvassing the district to ascertain what support,the political views of the party were likely to receive and keep generally in touch with the electorate, and the third to report to another meet- 1 iug as to the desirability of forming a politioal association in Masterton.
