CONCERT AT GREYTOWN.
A very successful concert was giveii in the Foresters Ballon Friday ovoQd ing by tho Greytown Wealayau Ohuroh Choir.
Ihe programme oonsisted of two parts, sacred and seonlar, in which a chorus of about forty voices and tho Greytown orchestra 'figured. Tho unanimous verdict of the audience is that the affair was really good, and that those absent missed a most enjoyable evening, Never before in in Greytown has so strong and hamorOUB a ohoras of vocalists been heard. . Miss Eva Udv presided at the piano in a very satisfactory, manner and Mr E. y. Shearer officiated as oonduotor. The orchestra though it was email, greatly assisted to mako the performance a suocess. The programme was rendered in v such a praiseworthy manner that would be difficult to give an individ* ual criticism, but suffice it to say that all acquitted themselves admirably showing that considerable trouble and time must have been spent by the ' popular and ouergetio secretary (Mr ■ T. J. Rowse) and the conductor (Mr Shearer.) We ought to mention that this, wsb Mrs Thos. Ingley's first appearance on the Greytown concert platform and we hope they will often again 'afford us an opportunity of hearing them, The items of the programme were as follow:
