SUPREME COURT, DUNEDIN.

h Ml4ef\ted Sentence, (By Telegraph—Press Association), Dunedin, Tuesday. At the Supremo Court, yesterday, Thoraas Casey, aged twenty-two, was found guilty of rape on a married woman, at Naeeby. The case was a very brutal one, the woman being left in an unconscious condition, and bearing marks of extremo violence. A number of previous convictions wero proved, and tho Judge sentenced Casey to fifteen years penal servitudo, with one flogging of thirty lashes, John Oarnie was sonlenced to three years for iorgory.
