WELLINGTON SHOOTING AFFRAY.
Seel on Trial. [By Telegraph—Press Association,! Wellington, Monday. Seel was put on his trial this morning lor shooting at Lynch with intent to kill. The Crown Prosecutor explained that though he did not actually lire himself, inciting another, in tho eyes of tho law wss tho saniß thing. Lynch and Campbell gave evidence as to Finley and Seel goiog on to the wharf after Greenrose's death and the former firing at Lynch who had then taken refuge on board the Waimate. Mr Jallicoe is getting up a petition praying for the mitigation of Fiuley's sentence.
