MAYORAL ELECTIONS.

Mouatt, 45, Chrisiuhuroh, The polling for the election of Mayor resulted as follows:—Edan George, 408 j William Thompson, 300; John Tippett Smith, 329. Edwards by a majority of 75 votes, Mr Edwards polling 246, and Mr Linton 171. The election excited a great deal of interest, both candidates and committees having worked hard.
