Mr Oscar Smith, the refined Ventriloquist, was born in Dublin in 1862, be was taken to Melbourno by his parents four years later; At seventeen years of age be was actively engaged in professional business and ran two shows and toured the whole of Australia, He has travelled in India and the United States. Mr Smith's versatility is highly spoken of by newspapers of repute, and his ventriloquial act in said to rank with the very best of the masters of the art in the world.

The company is piloted by the wellknown and popular representative, Mr Travers Vale, who says that in all his varied career aa manager and representative, be has never handled such a sterling and wonderful combination as the Steen-Smitk Company of Refined Entertainers.
