A Lawyer Attacked by d Stingciree, (By Telegraph.—Press Association). Gisbokne, November 29, Au hotel thief entered the bedroom of two young rai'u lodging at the Gisborno Hotel, and removed from under the pillow of one of them, who was asloep, the sum of £ls, their joint property, There is no clue to tho offender;
Mr E, J, Chrisp, barrister, whilst bathing, was attacked by a monster stingaree, which inflicted large and venomous wounds on his legs. Mr Chrisp is very faint from loss of blood and excessive pain, caused by iufinmination of the wounds. The Government will next month throw open for solection 17,000 acres of second-class land in this district,
