Hawera, November 21. Wo had a larger stock sale than usual at Stratford on Friday last, the 18th inst,, when all the promised entries ot'cattlo came forward for sale. There was a fair attendance and good bidding, so that wo had no difficulty indisposing of each line oflcred at or immediately after the dale, We quote :-2£ year steers, £4 15b to £1 18s; 12 to 18 months mixed cattle, £2 5s to £2109; calves, 16s to £1 Is 6d; springers, £4 2s 6d to £5 7s 6d. Our fortnightly stock sale at Mania was held on Wednesday, {he 28rd just., and was without exception the largest we have had there for some time past, In fact it waß ob much as we could do to find yard accommo(% tion for all tho cattle that came is, there being double as many us we had advertised. Thenumber of buyera present was very large and bidding exceedingly brisk, so that with the exception of two small lines of cattle everything changed hands before leaving the yards.i We quote Fat bullocks, £6 Is to £G 17s Gd; forward bullocks, £4lss to £5 2s j 2 year steers, £Bl7s 6d to £4los; 18 month steers, £3 8 to £3 6s; yearlings, mixed, £2 10a tu l £2 18s; cows and calves and in cal, £8 6s to £3l7s 6d; springers, £5 5s to £7. '
