Yesterday afternoon theWairaropa Farmers' Cooperative Association Orioket Club took advantage of the half holiday to journey by M r Hawke's drag to Carterton, where they played a friendly match with the Carterton Cricket Club. Only one innings each was played and although the W.F.0.A.C.0. was strong in fielding, their batting was by no means equal to that of their opponents and they consequently suffered defeat by 59 ruDB, Mr A. C. Clayton captained the visiting team, while the Carterton men were led to viotoryby Mr Harry Booth, During the afternoon a number of visitors were on the ground witnessing tho play, including a good proportion of ladies.
