Messrs Lowes and lorns held their regular stock sale at Eketahuna on Wednesday whichwas wellattended by. eager buyers, young cattle especially meeting with keen competition. Thestock yarded vras considerably in excess of the entries and realised tho following prices Dairy cows, 90s to 100s; store cowb from 70s j forward cows, 100s; yearlings to 18 month steers, 60s; heifers, same age, 575; weaners, mixed sexes, 48s. A few | horses were offered, but there was no I demand, Immediately after the above
' sale the firm sold, on the premises at Parkville, the property of Mrs B. McGill, comprising about 13J acres and a number of cuttle. The property realised £l6 per note, and the cuttle as followsMiloli cows from 75s to £5; heifera from 62s to £4 2s Gd j yearlings, 45i. to 62s Gd; steers, 85s. , Tbn salea were considered very satisand denoted more life in the settlement than has characterised the previous sales this season.
