SUPREME COURT.

(By Telegraph.—Ptess Association,) PL C'HBisioHoaon, November 21. The criminal'sessions of the till* preme Court opened to-day, before Mr Justice Denniston. The calender comprised ten cases, all of the ordinary type except two for concealment of birth. The Judge's ohargo was very brief, simply congratulating thi Grand Jnry on (be fact that the , crimes on the calender were neither numerous nor difficult, Albert Allen, jsbarged with obtaining £lO by false pretences, pleaded guilty, and was sentenced to two years' bard labour. Robt Stuart was found guilty of stealing £ls from the seoond mate oi the Fukaki, and sentenced to six months' bard labour. Eva Simpson pleaded guilty to a charge of concealment of birth, and was sentenced to be imprisoned until the rising of the Court, She bad been three months in gaol awaiting trial. Edward Harman and Frederick Kirby were acquitted on a charge of stealing £6 from the landlord of the Garrick Hotel, wbero tbey were lodging, The Grand Jury thrift out tho bills against Sophia Jon* for concealment of birth; *:■ James White and George Kennedy, for larceny j and Herbert Mumford, for arson. There are only two more cases to be disposed of.
