BAPTIST UNION CONFERENCE.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Dunewn, Saturday. At meeting of the Bapiist Union, it was reaolvi'd by tncmy-six tn sixteen to. re-admit the Rev. 0. 0. Brown. The'question of the admission of female members was disotissed, and a motion interpreting members to moan adult Baptists (including females of course) was rejected by twenty-tlirco lo eleven, It was resolved that the conference deeply deplores the extreme and growing prevalence of gambling and betting, and strongly supports the movement for the abolition of the totalis*tor, and strongly urges all ohurches to avoid everything in financial circles, which bears even the slightost appearance of encouraging spirit. Tho Committee was authorised to re-engage the Rev, T, Spurgeon as evangelist, The Rev, 6. D. Cox was elected President; Rev.A. Holy, Vice-Presi-dent; Eev. Woolley, Secretary, and Revs. North, Dewdney, Bray, Dallaston and Dick, a Committee,
