OPERATIC GAS.

[To me Editoii.]

Sir.,—Allow us, at the conclusion of our short but successful season in this town, to thank its'residents for the extremely kind and cordial recep tion which has boen extended us. It has been an unalloyed pleasure to visit Masterton, and we shall all feel pleased to return again at some future dato. One little drawback—but a serious one—requires to bo mentioned, viz., tlieiorribly-smelling gas supplied in this town, This soul-sickening illnminant is bad enough to scare visitors out of the place, I nm, etc, Harry Cross, . Treasuror, Montague-Turncr Opera Company; Masterton, 18th Nov,, 1892!
