A letter wan reoeived from the ' Seoretary of the Wellington Education Board, advising the Committee to call tenders for fencing the Inlants sohool, The Chairman thought that it the ooutraotor who had done all the work put in a price, they could submit it to the Board for approval. #■ Mr Daniell said he understood that tenders were required. Mr Williams moved tbat Mr Daniell be asked to speoify the work, and to givo a price, as he had the contract for the erection ot the school in hand, v Mr Feist seconded the motion, which was carried. The headmaster's report was read, Bhowing tho averago attendance at Wthe main school to bo COB, with 601 •Pfcoholara on the roll, Miss Keeling s report ms also received stating everything to bu working satisfactorily at the infant Bcbool, aud tho average attendance 84, with 104 names ou the roll. Accounts. The following accounts were passed : for payment: H. Beale, 7s 6d; i. Watt, 16s Ccl j K. T. Holmes, £6 7s a. General Business, ' The Inspector's report was laid on . tho table, A report by Messrs Feistand Board was submitted, recommending the reduction of expenditure on certain items, whereby a saving could be
effeoted of £2O per annum. The' Secretary tvaß instructed to write to the Education Board, asking if Inspector Lee's report on the overcrowding of the olasß-room, at the * main school, was being dealt with. ued efficiency of the school." The motion was carried unanimously, MrW. H. Jackson returning thanks on behalf of the teachers. . VISITING MEMBER.
Mr Joseph Williams was appointed visiting member for the present mouth, No other business coming forward, the meeting adjourned.
