The Government and the N.Z. Rifle Association, (By. Telegraph.—Press Association.) Wanqanw, Thursday. Major Somerville states that the non-arrivat of the Martini-Henri rifles ordered from the Governmej&i eight months ago is having a dissF trous effect on the N.Z. Eifle Association. Over 150 have been applied for, and the only answer the Defence ' I Department have given is that they are expeoted daily.
