MEETING OF CREDITORS.
Estate of IG, Himjmather. A meeting of creditors in the above estate, was held at Pahiatua yesterday, at 4.80 p.m. Mr Gould appeared for tho debtor, and Mr Tosswill for Mr Bombacli, a secured creditor. The debtor, examined by Mr Harold Smith (for tho creditors), stated, on oath, that ho had asked Mr Itoin'>acli to advance him more money, on the 17th October, otherwise he would have to give up. Had offered to give certain sections as security, and signed a transfer at Mr Tosswill's oliico, Rombach was to allow £BS fur the section, On the 17th of October he owed Rombach about £153, and assigned the stook to him lor £5 and further advances, Signed no rnortgago over the goods sold by Mr Crewe. They were bought from Rombach, who is a carpenter. Sections 10 and 17, block X, Maugahao, are the ones transferred, Hud been advised that the sections still belonged to him, and that was why thoy -were shown in his statement, The £4O due lo William Merryweatlier was money received from tiim from Home. Horabacb had let him lmve about £UO for goods. Kept no account of what monies lie had received, Kept noproper accounts at ail. The books produced showed most of tbo transactions. Owed no money when he commenced business, but now owed £165. Mr Dalil proposed, and Mr Galway (representing the Anchor Boot Company) seconded, that the Assignee take steps to secure the money held by Mr Crewe, and enquire into the validity of all deeds signed by Mr Merry weather, affecting his property during the last six months. The motion was carried. It waR also de» cided that the Assignee realise the book debts to the best advantage.
