The Egmont Farmers' Union, Limited. Hatveiu, Ootober 27th, 1892. Our Stratford stock sale held last Friday gives but little to record, such a small proportion of the advertised coming forward for sale, though wliat was there sold readily enough. We quote; Springers £i 5s to £5 15b ; heifers in calf, £3loa to£ 3155, We held our fortnightly sale in the Manaia yards on Wednesday, the ' 26ibiost. There to a good muster of buyers present and more than our expected number of cattle and sheep, so that bidding wai spirited, particularly for fat and forward slock, al« most every thing changed hands before leaving the yards. We quote: Tat bullocks, £6 to £6los Gd; forward bullocks, £5 6s (id to £5 17s; 3 yearsteetyifiUOsto £(18s 6d; 18 months to 2 year steers, ! £2lßs 6d ' t'o £31S« : ; yearlings; £ll7s'fid : to £2 8s 6d j fat cows, £3186 to £5 "10s ; Beifere id calf, £3l3s fid to j fat vqtlws, 168 id.
