Mr D, Crewe reports of his Palmtun stock sale, held on Wednesday, 26th instA quantity of stack of all classes was yarded in excess of what was advertised. The attendance was good, but bidding was dull, and most of the stock was passed in owing to the high reserves placod on it. It appears quite clear that owners must submit sooner or later to a reduction in prices throughout, The following prices were realised Good forward bullocks £4 to £4 6s. A lino of plain three year old bullocks was sold at U2s Gd, Good dairy cows, realised £5 5s to £sl7s fid. Springers £5 ss. Cows, very poor quality, £8 2s Gd, A few backs sold it £4 10s to £6. Figs, no demand. Only one lot of sheep sold at 14s—ewes and lambs. Eketahm Stock Saleßeport, Messrs Lowes and lorns report, oh* their monthly Bale at the above yards & on Wednesday last, a full entry of cattle, trade was dull, calves, yearlings and springers only were in do* mand and realised the following rates: Calves and yearlings, 39s to 41s; springing heifers, 2 years old, 82s Gd; small fat heifers, £5, Older cattle did not suit looal requirements and were passed in. A few horses from £6 to £7 ohanged hands.
